Unexpected Baby Hamsters..?

My nephew (8 going on 9) managed to convince my mom to get him a mall-pet-store female Syrian hamster (and yes, about two weeks ago, apparently), and just discovered she had pups. I believe they are at the very most 24 hrs old. This new family lives in a ‘CritterTrail X’ cage, and she decided to nest in the “Petting Zone”, the second highest floor of the cage. (Here’s the mfg’s site, http://www.superpetusa.com/index.html ; see the ‘tupperware’ shaped part with the green top, against the purple roof? Right there.) I’m concerned about the pups being up there and falling down the tunnel tube when they start moving about, especially after two weeks old. Also should we remove the wheel..?
My biggest(!) concern is that her cage is in the living room… barely two meters from the tv. Should we move the cage (although this would be a major disruption to her), move it to the floor from the desk it’s on, block it off visually with boxes…?
My retired father also likes to watch news channels and although a fairly intelligent person, is somewhat… insensitive, usually talks loudly on the phone and won’t always remember that the mother needs quiet during such a sensitive time. I’m not sure what to do with her cage location because of all this. Any timely advice would be very helpful.
What I already know:
1. Babies no touchy (for at least two weeks).
2. Cooked eggs, tofu, carrots and apples for mom’s extra nutrition in addition to regular fresh food & water. (Scrambled/fried eggs too greasy..? Can the tofu be uncooked?)
3. No cage cleaning for at least two weeks.
4. Added white tp for soft nesting material.
5. Other than feed and water, no disturbances.
6. Weaned at about 3 weeks, separate to male/female from mom before 4 weeks, or to be on the safe side, individually to prevent breeding.
